Robinson's island
18.06.2009 - 20.06.2009 36 °C
It's such a shame I couldn't fulfill my promise to myself about 1 month ago about of a trip to Edinburgh. Seriously, sometimes the best place to be is just at home, on the sofa, in front of the TV, and next to your favourtie munchies, that's the excuse for my laziness.
Anyway, I still set foot on the road, just that it's a different one. I have just come back from a trip to Quan Lan Island, which is about 50 minutes going by a high speed cruise from Van Don port in Ha Long. Now, Ha Long bay is a very famous place in Vietnam, but this island is a total new beauty on the map. It is undiscovered, electricity is a luxury (literally mean it), service is not yet developed as the fee to transport everything there is too high. However, I am quite sure that it is emerging as a new favourite spot for travellers. Even when it is still neglected like this, it is charming with the unparalleled gorgeousness. The water and the sky is united in a deep crystal clear blue. Sand is as white as snow, under the scorching heat of the sun (and the lack of electricity to run air-conditioners), I felt like Robinson Crusoe who could escape at anytime.

A funny vehicle

It was a swelteringly hot day but the untouched scenery touched me :D
